6 Things You Can Do To Prevent Breast Cancer.

With 49 000 new cases and 11 000 deaths per year, breast cancer has experienced a doubling of cases during the past 25 years. And yet, we can prevent this cancer by some simple habits. The risk of breast cancer may be lowered, so play your part!

Just like it is for lung cancer, the causes of breast cancer are easily identified, Only recently a number of these factors have been formally recognized by the light of specific studies. So lets take a look at what you can to to prevent breast cancer and live a healthy life.

Eat less and better.

Again, food is central to the prevention of cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases, but also breast cancer, Food is also responsible in the occurrence of a second cancer. Regardless of overweight, trans fats (pastries, pizza, etc.) are increasing by more than double the risk of breast cancer. If it adds an overweight (especially in case of breakdown "android" fat, in short a big belly), the fatty tissue acts like a gland secretory estrogen promoters of cancer, especially after menopause.

Keep Moving!

Thirty minutes of real physical activity (not just vacuuming and ironing!)
would reduce the risk of breast cancer by 30 to 40%. Keeping your body in shape is one of the best weapon against all form of cancers. It may be difficult at first to get out and doing some physical activities but the rewards are fantastic. A simple bicycle ride every day is enough to stay in shape. So let's move!

Drink less than one glass of alcohol per day.

Once the equivalent of 10 grams (one glass), the rate of circulating hormones (estrogen always) grows, as does the risk of tumor growth, especially breast. The risk increase by 9% every 10 grams of alcohol ingested. Alcohol is one of the worst enemy for pregnant women.

Make your first baby around 25 years old.

This factor is the "heavy" in terms of risk ... At least 20% of cancers would be redundant due to the increasingly late age of the first full-term pregnancy, which is nearly 30 years today.

Nurse your baby ideally for 6 months.

The risk decreases with the number of children and especially if they were breastfed: endogène secretion of estrogen are dropping considerably during pregnancy and weaning.

Protect yourself against xenoestrogens.

A xenophobic estrogen is a chemical compound, which is recognized by a living organism as an estrogen.

You must especially avoid periods where your body is changing and more vulnerable to hormonal changes, ie when you are pregnant of a baby girl (for him to avoid breast cancer later.

Breast cancer accounts for one third of new cancers in women. If it is detected early, it is better supported. Women with breast cancer benefit from treatment tailored to their pathology. Four technologies are mainly used. In order of importance: surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapy. Since the year 2000 medical advance has been made on all fronts in the fight against breast cancer. Early detection and treatment are essential to defeat the disease.

Good Luck!

Male Breast Cancer

When you mention the words breast cancer you would generally think of women who would be prone to this death dealing disease. The real fact is that many men can have breast cancer, and suffer the same ill effects as women do. Male breast cancer may be treated with surgery, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, and radiation treatment. Breast cancer in men is associated with diseases or body conditions that increase estrogen exposure or that have effects similar to increased estrogen exposure. Body conditions that decrease levels of the male reproductive hormones, androgens, have also been associated. Male breast cancer is most commonly found through the discovery of a lump or thickening in the breast similar to that occurring in women. Usually this abnormal lump is painless and found accidentally.

Treatment depends on the type and stage of the breast cancer. Surgical and radiation options for men may differ from those available for women. Treatment for male breast cancer is usually a mastectomy, which is surgery to remove the breast. Other treatments include radiation, chemotherapy and or hormone therapy. Treatment tends to be the same as that for women with breast cancer of the same type and stage.

Tests such as x-rays and CT scans will usually give enough information for doctors to classify the stage of cancer growth. In some cases, it will also be necessary to examine a piece of the tumor to properly classify it. Testosterone can be kept at normal levels with bioidentical testosterone to help prevent these symptoms and diseases. Many men diagnosed with depression and taking antidepressants do better with bioidentical testosterone replacement instead. Male breast cancer is a real and serious problem; it no longer can be viewed as a major concern for women only. Cancer does not care if you are a man or a woman, or your financial status in life, the danger is very real for everyone.

Research by the University of North Carolina found that boosting your levels of antioxidants, such as those found in green tea and soybeans could reduce your risks. Eating a healthy diet won't just keep your weight in check it'll keep your cancer risks in check too, all men produce estrogen which is perfectly normal, but estrogens levels can significantly increase with weight gain.

By eating right with a regular weight loss program, you can decrease your chances of getting cancer; this applies to men as well as women. So guys, the next time you feel the need for a snack watching the big game, put down the hot dog and pick up a carrot.

Stay Informed,

Breast Cancer - 101

The cancer is a term for diseases in which abnormal cells divide uncontrollably invading near by tissue and spreading to other parts of the body via blood stream or lymphatic system.

Similarly, in breast cancer, a single cell begins to divide and grow abnormally. This is the most common kind of cancer in women. Besides being women, age is the other important factor for developing breast cancer. The breast is made up of lobes and ducts. Each breast has 15 to 20 sections called lobes, which have many smaller sections called lobules. Lobules end in dozens of tiny bulbs that can produce milk. The lobes, lobules, and bulbs are linked by thin tubes called ducts.

The breast cancer is classified into:

-Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS)
-Lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS)
-Inflammatory breast cancer
-Recurrent breast cancer

The most common type of breast cancer is ductal carcinoma, which begins in the cells of the ducts. Cancer that begins in the lobes or lobules is called lobular carcinoma and is more often found in both breasts than are other types of breast cancer. Inflammatory breast cancer is an uncommon type of breast cancer in which the breast is warm, red, and swollen. Recurrent breast cancer that has come back after it has been treated. Early detection through regular breast self-exams and a regular program of mammogram and physical exams show excellent results in curing it. Breast self exam is the process developed by the American cancer society for women to examine the breasts monthly. This process can reveal breast problem. Any swelling or unusual lumps or hardness in the breast is the indication of breast disease and a reason to rush to your doctor.

There are various factors, which increases the chance of getting disease as a breast cancer. Like:

1) Older age
2) A mother or sister with breast cancer.
3) Drinking alcoholic beverages.
4) Being white.
5) Treatment with radiation therapy to the breast/chest.

Women who have an altered gene related to breast cancer and who have had breast cancer in one breast have an increased risk of developing breast cancer in the other breast. These women also have an increased risk of developing ovarian cancer, and may have an increased risk of developing other cancers.

Tests related to detect and diagnose breast cancer are:

1) Mammogram ? In which X ray is done of the breast.

2) Biopsy - The removal of cells or tissues so they can be viewed under a microscope by a pathologist to check for signs of cancer. If a lump in the breast is found, the doctor may need to cut out a small piece of the lump.

3) Estrogen and progesterone receptor test: A test to measure the amount of estrogen and progesterone (hormones) receptors in cancer tissue. If cancer is found in the breast, tissue from the tumor is examined in the laboratory to find out whether estrogen and progesterone could affect the way cancer grows. The test results show whether hormone therapy may stop the cancer from growing.

There are different 4 types of treatment option for breast cancer patients:

1) Surgery- Most patients with breast cancer have surgery to remove the cancer from the breast.

2) Radiation therapy - Radiation therapy is a cancer treatment that uses high-energy x-rays or other types of radiation to kill cancer cells.

3) Chemotherapy -Chemotherapy is a cancer treatment that uses drugs to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping the cells from dividing.

4) Hormone therapy - Hormone therapy is a cancer treatment that removes hormones or blocks their action and stops cancer cells from growing. Hormones are substances produced by glands in the body and circulated in the bloodstream.

Breast Cancer - What Every Woman Needs To Know

Reports say that after lung cancer, breast cancer is the second most deadly and common type of cancer, which accounts for 1% of all deaths and 7% of all cancer deaths. This type of cancer is considered to the fifth common cause responsible of deaths.

Symptoms:

As a woman, you should be well aware of breast cancer, its symptoms and treatment. According to doctors, the subjective and first symptom is a development of a typical lump in your breast. This lump is quite different from the breast tissue surrounding it and you can notice it by careful examination.

But, breast cancer is not only determined by the lump, which appears in your breast. Studies reveal that if you are having lumps located in the lymph nodes in your collar bone or armpits, you are more likely to have this type of cancer. It is the mammogram, which is done by doctors in the region of the detected lump to confirm the case of breast cancer.

But all women don't develop the same symptoms . Other indications apart from a lump include nipple inversion, skin dimpling, spontaneous single nipple discharge or change in the shape and size of the breast. If you are having pain in your breast, don't take it as breast cancer as it is an unreliable tool for confirming the menace.

After the invasion of the cancer cells in the region of dermal lymphatics, you are more likely to get skin inflammation in your breast. This phenomenon is often termed as inflammatory breast cancer (IBC). Women, having inflammatory breast cancer, may develop several symptoms, which include an orange peel appearance of the skin in the breast of region, redness and warmth in the breast with extreme pain and swelling. Other symptoms indicating the presence of cancer in your body is increased sensitivity, burning, itching and tingling of the breast region.

Look For Immediate Attention from Your Doctor

Women developing the above symptoms should immediately contact their doctor. This type of cancer can be diagnosed with proper examination of surgically removed tissue from the breast. Procedures of removing tissues include local surgical excision, core needle biopsy, ductal cleavage, fine needle aspiration and nipple aspirates. After this, some imaging tests such as bone scan, chest X-ray, PET scanning and MRI are conducted to confirm this type of cancer.

Therapies for Treating Breast Cancer

With the advancement of medical studies, women may not worry any more, if they are having breast cancer. Surgery is the mainstay of the treatment, where the tumour in the breast is localised followed by adjuvant hormonal therapies in that region. Some other popular treatment methods of breast cancer are chemotherapy, immune therapy, radiation therapy and hormone therapy.

One more innovative and modern method of treating breast cancer is Interstitial Laser Thermotherapy (ILT). It is a minimal invasive process and there is absolutely no need for surgical removal of the breast tissue. Doctors also recommend this treatment, as no side effects are noticed in this process and the patient remains healthy.

What Are The Symptoms Of Breast Cancer?

Noticing changes in your breast contour? It could be nothing and at the same time it could be breast cancer, God forbid! But the only way to say is prompt medical check, if the doctor thinks it is cancer then early treatments will do you some good.

The constant research work on breast cancer has shown a strong link between high fatty foods and breast cancer. Countries with staple food based diets like Japan of the 1950s have recorded minimal occurrence of breast cancer. With this, I'm sure you will want to watch out for the fat content of your food.

I know many people say breast cancer is a death sentence. I know lots of people continue to die each and every day from the illness all over the world, but that doesn’t mean you too would die because you have now been diagnosed with breast cancer. What I will tell you is this – stay open! You just don’t know whether you will die. I don’t care if the doctors have told you that you will die – STAY OPEN!

Progesterone is known to help stabilize the level of other hormone present in your body. Stabilizing these hormonal balance can help prevent the development of breast cancer in your breast tissues. Progesterone can be gotten topically from progesterone containing creams.

Breast cancer treatments involve some pre treatment preparations. This preparation includes the dos and don’ts that your doctor advises after the diagnosis of breast cancer. A full adherence to this advice will help your breast cancer treatment yield a better result.

Small cells cancer is the type of breast cancer that characterized small tumor cells. These small cells develop rapidly and can spread pretty quickly over the breast and nearby regions. This has further emphasized the need for clinical breast cancer examination.

The chances of treating breast cancer in women are proportional to their age. Younger women can actually receive strong treatment and be able to live and overcome the side effects of such treatment, whereas the older ones may develop more complications from received treatments for breast cancer. The earlier breast cancer is detected the better the chances of treating it.

Breast cancer is usually characterized with changes in the size of the breast. However a drastic change in your breast size does not necessarily confirm the presence of cancer cells. If you notice differences in your breast size, it is advised that you seek medical attention to determine the cause.

Some women exercise denial of breast cancer as if they are exempted from having the disease. You must understand that no matter how you much you deny the disease, it won’t make it go away ones it is there. You have to start paying attention to advises and tips on how to prevent, cope with and treat breast cancer as nobody is actually exempted from the disease.

After breast cancer has been operated successfully, your doctor usually prescribe a form of follow up treatment to help you heal quickly. A proper adherence to this follow up treatment will not only guarantee quick recovery, but also reduce the chances of the breast cancer reoccurring.

A bad side effect of breast cancer treatment is the experiencing of a premature menopause. This makes the virginal dry, and sex more painful than fun. If you are experiencing this after your breast cancer treatment, you should see your doctor immediately and have him/her refer you to a sex related defect professional.

The size of your breast does not increase or reduce your chances of having breast cancer. The rumor that ladies with bigger breast are more prone to breast cancer cannot be more wrong. The size of your breast has totally nothing to do with the chances of having breast cancer. Do not be led into a state of paranoia by these rumors.

Lump in the armpit can be breast cancer. The breast cancer lumps do not have to be on or within the breast, it can be in the armpit too. So while examining yourself monthly, you should check your armpit as well for such lumps. But of course, note that sometimes, lumps in the armpit can be signs of pregnancy. Just ensure you get it examined by your doctor, if and when you discover any such lumps.

Breast cancer is usually associated with lumpy feel within the breast. But not all breast cancer is characterized by lumps. An example of non-lumpy breast cancer is the inflammatory breast cancer. However inflammatory breast cancer is not common thus a lot of people are not familiar with the disease, last year it only recorded about 3% of the total diagnosed breast cancer.

Vitamins and supplements can help you make up for lost nutrients that can help you prevent breast cancer. However you have to be careful when popping these pills as they may alter your hormonal balance and cause you breast cancer.

Pinpointing the exact cause of breast cancer is no longer a priority as it has been noted that different people's cancer is caused by different free radicals in the body. However some risk factors has been established like excessive amount of estrogen and alcohol contained in blood, too much fat deposit and also hormone therapy known to cause an imbalance in the body's hormonal balance. Taking note of these risk factors can help you steer clear of breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Tips

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Men and women can take preventative steps for avoiding breast cancer and staying healthy. Essentials within your control, include:

? aerobic exercise 3-4 times a week
? maintaining a positive mental attitude
? breathwork and deepening body-awareness (yoga is great)
? expressing your feelings to keep your energy flowing
? eating healthy foods and taking the "right" supplements
? avoiding toxicity.

Some things to avoid:

? Any medication containing acetaminophen. Products such as Tylenol, Sudafid, Bromo seltzer, vicodin, and many others drive down the glutathione levels in the body. Glutathione is an essential antioxidant and detoxifier.

? Aspartame (not to be confused with aspertate) has been proven to cause cancer in rats. It is a common ingredients in many no-sugar products such as yogurt, ice cream, desserts and carbonated beverages. Splenda is also harmful.

? Toxins. Use toxin-free, organic products. Wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly with soapy water to remove chemical residues. Better yet, buy only organic products and non-GMO (non-genetically modified) foods. Read labels (Veggies and fruit will have an 9 to indicate organic and an 8 for non-GMO).

? Active computer screens should be at least 18 inches away from your body. You need to be at least 36 inches from your active television screens.

Breast Self Exams are the number one method for detecting changes in breast health. Finding any symptoms does not mean you have cancer. Early detection means your survival, and thriver rate, is very high. Very high! It also means you have a broad range of alternative and complementary treatment options. So learn the signs.

No one knows your body as well as you do. That''s why it''s essential to exam your breasts at the same time every month - so you can detect any changes that might occur. When you do the self-exam, you are reassuring yourself that your body is still in great condition.

There are numerous websites that now offer instruction in self-exams. One I prefer is the Komen Foundation, (www.komen.org) which offers an interactive video you can watch on your home computer, while doing your exam.

Many women find it helpful to have a buddy to call each month to remind or be reminded to conduct the self-exam. It''s never to late to begin a good habit, so invite a Yoga buddy to be your breast health buddy now.

The signs to pay attention to include the following:

A lump, hard knot or thickening
Swelling, warmth
Redness or darkening
Change in size or shape
Dimpling or puckering of the skin
Rash
Itching or scaling, especially on the nipple
Pulling in of your nipple or other breast areas
Sudden discharge from the nipple
New pain in one spot

Some clients have reported one or more symptoms to their medical practitioners, and been told it''s "Nothing". That may be true. Often the lumps and rashes are not a sign of cancer. But they could be. Rely on your inner wisdom. It if feels "not right", then keep getting other opinions until you''re satisfied with the results. Thermography, Thermal imaging, a new form of breast cancer detection, is highly recommended as a non-invasive method which is available at some breast care centers in the US.

Breast Cancer Detection Unit for the Home

Detecting Breast Cancer early is a key step in protecting yourself from the dire consequences and risk of breast cancer. There is now some new technology using Infrared to help you do self-examinations in the privacy of your own home. Surprisingly these units are in expensive only about $100.00; the device is called; "iFind"

The unit is relatively small and not bigger than a deck of cards. It discovers malignant or cancerous tissue quickly and emits a red flash and an audible tone. The process is not too scientific, actually the principles are quite simple indeed. The Infrared light picks up cancerous areas through the detecting of oxygen levels in the bloodstream. The near-infrared beam has no side effects what so ever.

The unit is over 90% successful in detection in patients who check themselves routinely over a 5-6 year period, however the manufacturers of the unit believe over time they will be close to 100% as they refine the unit. The unit is on fast track with the FDA for approval and could be the answer to inexpensive breast cancer preventative early detection. Such a simple device can be put in a purse taken with on vacation or during travel and it could end up saving your life, ifind is definetely needed in the fight against breast cancer and will assist in the most crucial point and that is early detection. Think on this.

Practical Hints On Breast Cancer

The most common cancer experienced by females is breast cancer. This has led to various searches for solutions and treatment methods. Although breast cancer is said to be responsive to some herbs, it is advised that orthodox medications are still the best available treatment for it.

It is not all breast cancer patients that don't feel pain at the early stages of their disease. It is possible for breast cancer to be associated with early pain; it could be a small occasional pull and aches or a constant stabbing pain feel. You should be aware of these.

As strange as it may sound, men are also susceptible to breast cancer. Although it is not common, breast cancer has been diagnosed in men, mostly the sexagenarians. Therefore as a man, you shouldn’t feel exempted from the fringes of breast cancer, constantly examine yourself and make appointments with your doctor at the first signs of abnormalities.

It doesn't matter whether breast cancer has affected your mother and grandmother and they both died from it, you don't have to die from it too. You see, modern science has advanced so strongly that the diseases that used to kill people in the past no longer kill. If your breast cancer is discovered very early on, you can be sure you won't die. So, always ensure you examine your breasts for any signs of tumor. That can save your life.

Although breast cancer is characterized with noticeable physical changes in the breast, these changes can also occur during pregnancy and passing of a menstrual cycle. However this does not mean proper attention should not be given to these changes when they come, it just shouldn’t lead to your being paranoid.

The decline in the death rate of cancer infected individuals can be credited to research and early detection alongside breast cancer awareness. Information concerning breast cancer keeps coming up regularly and it is logical for breast cancer conscious people to pay attention to this information. Knowledge they say is power; you will be able to better protect yourself from breast cancer if you are well furnished with information concerning it.

Statistic shows that breast cancer reoccurrence is about 10% in treated patient. This deadly disease should not be allowed to reoccur. After a successful treatment of breast cancer, you should maintain a regular monthly appointment with your doctor to prevent the disease reoccurring.

The food you eat and your nutrient supply is important when breast cancer risk is measured. If you eat more of food with preservatives and artificial additives, your breast cancer chances will be high. So when you can, stay away from junk foods and eat more of fresh foods.

Breast cancer is a thing most women worry about especially the younger once. This worry has lead many women into believing strange rumors that breast cancer can be gotten from toothpastes and antiperspirants. Although it is good to be careful about the products you use, but the idea that toothpastes and antiperspirants cause breast cancer is just a sign of being paranoid.

A step to the quick detection of breast cancer is regular examination of the breast by oneself for lumps and irregular shape and size. The examination is however not effective in some breast that has been augmented or implanted, as a lump in an augmented breast may not be detectable because of the alteration on the breast. Before you go for breast reform ensure that it is not the type that will not make lump detection impossible.

There are a lot of other ailments that share some of the symptoms of breast cancer. These ailments include cysts, fibro adenomas, injuries and other infections. These ailments are non cancerous and may not be as severe as the breast cancer. When you notice variation in your breast, you shouldn’t wave it off thinking it is one of these diseases, you should receive medical help immediately.

Breast cancer treatment can be associated with side effects. Some of these side effects are mild while some are severe. If you tend to experience the severe kind of breast cancer treatment side effects such as limbs numbness, it is advised that you report to your doctor immediately and have your treatment changed.

Plant estrogens like soy are known not to increase the estrogen content of the body and also good in the alternative treatment of breast cancer. You can reduce your dairy product consumption and then replace it with soy.

Before opting for the radiation treatment mode for breast cancer, you should be fully informed of the danger associated with it. Although it can prevent the removal of the affected breast, it posses danger to the other cells around the treated region. Fully know this before taking it up.

A lot of people believe that it is impossible for men to develop breast cancer. What they don’t know is that no matter how undeveloped the man’s breast is, it still has its own tissues. These tissues as well can develop malignant cell growth causing breast cancer. So as a man, you need to also pay attention to information on breast cancer as you are not exactly free from it.

One of the sign to watch out for on your breast to help you detect breast cancer is the appearance of bruises that won't go away. Also you may notice ridges or thickness within the breast tissues, this may occur around the surroundings of the breast and not within the breast. Pay attention to this information as it may help you detect breast cancer early thereby increasing your survival chances.

Knowing About Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is one of the most common diseases that affect women of all ages, all over the world. Unfortunately, reason for this life threatening disease has yet to be found.

A tumor in the breast that is malignant is breast cancer. Breast cancer is common among women but in rare cases, is found even among men. One woman out of 8 is likely to be detected with breast cancer. It is more common to find this cancer in women over the age of 60.

Cells in all parts of the body including the breast, grows and rests in cycles. The growth and rest are controlled by the genes. When there is an abnormality in the genes, they loose control of the cell growth. The cancer will form in tissues of the breast that are located within the tubes that carry milk from the breast.

Whatever the stage, it is important to know at what stage the patient is in, at detection as well as throughout the treatment program, so that it is easy to understand the prognosis or what to expect, as well as to provide proper treatment.

There are two forms of cancer, one is benign which is rarely life-threatening and the other is malignant, which is a very serious condition. Cells from malignant tumors can spread if not arrested early and eventually can become fatal.

If your mother, sister, daughter or grandmother has breast cancer, you are more at risk of acquiring breast cancer than others. Yes, breast cancer tends to be hereditary.

A lot of research is being carried out on the subject, but scientists have not been able to find out the exact cause of breast cancer. Cancer is not contagious and will not spread by touching!

Common symptoms of Breast Cancer Include:
The breast nipple may look and feel different.
A lump may form either near the breast or in the underarm area.
Nipples may seem tender
The shape and size of the breast will change
A nipple may turn inwards into the breast
The skin of the breast or nipple may be scaly, swollen or red. The skin will have ridges or pitting and will look like an orange
There may be a discharge from the nipple

It is important to know that breast cancer if detected early is controllable and can be eradicated from the system completely. Women who are 40 and older should have mammograms every 1 to 2 years. Through regular mammograms, self examinations and clinical examinations, one is able to minimize the risks involved in breast cancer. A mammogram is a picture of the breast made with x-rays. Time and again it is important to check for lumps in your breast. It may only be a harmless cyst, but nevertheless it needs to be checked and sent for a biopsy without delay. Periodic clinical examinations are also recommended.
Remember, prevention is better than cure!

Breast Cancer The Cure

You have my permission to publish this article electronically or in print, free of charge, as long as the bylines are included. A courtesy copy of your publication would be appreciated.

Breast Cancer The Cure

There is no known cure for breast cancer. More than 1.5 million people will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year worldwide. Scientists don''t know why most women get breast cancer, yet breast cancer is the most frequent tumor found in women the world over. A woman who dies of breast cancer is robbed of an average of nearly 20 years of her life. Breast cancer knows no social boundaries. It''s a disease that can affect anyone. Some prominent women who''s lives that have been touched by breast cancer include Jill Eikenberry actress age 52; Peggy Fleming age 49 figure skater; Kate Jackson age 50 (Charlies Angels); Olivia Newton-John age 50 actress singer; Nancy Reagan age 77 former first lady; Melissa Etheridge age 43 singer; and the beautiful Suzanne Summers actress. These high rates of breast cancer are not acceptable to the women of the world and must be met with scientific research that provides results.

Despite over a decade of research, and more than $1.7 billion spent, hundereds of women worldwide are dying from breast cancer every day. Yet doctors don''t know how breast cancer starts or how to cure it. Doctors are still approaching treatment for breast cancer in the same old fashioned ways: surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Barbarick treatments? And scientists keep doing the same old redundant research that''s simply not working. It doesn''t have to be that way. Gen Cells Cures is a scientific biotechnology company that is focused on a cure for breast cancer. The company is dedicated to curing breast cancer before it''s too late for you. We''re not interested in a cure in five, ten, or twenty years from now. We want your cure for breast cancer within a year or two. We don''t want you to have to under go surgery, radiation, chemotherapy or take toxic drugs.

Why Gen Cells Cures? You can search the medical journals; you can search the internet until your blue in the face. You will find the same old news which is no new news about breast cancer research and treatments. Breast cancer research is locked up in a black whole. Gen Cells Cures is approaching the cure for breast cancer from different angles and using tomorrow''s scientific technologies today. Our expertise is in stem cell research and genomics. Malfunctioning stem cells have already been linked to the development of breast cancer. We''re not talking about using generic stem cells from an egg and sperm cell. There is no genetic match for you with the politically controversial generic stem cells that are always in the news. The isolation of cancer stem cells, coupled with our understanding of genetic mutations causing cancer, and our knowledge of genomics will result in ways to eliminate cancer cells while sparing normal breast tissues.

Genetics and Breast Cancer

People will tell you to accept what you can''t change?Your genetics, your genes, the genes your mother and father handed you when you were born that came with their particular genetic make-up. Most inherited cases of breast cancer have been associated with two genes: BRCA1 and BRCA2. The past five years has been a period of unparalleled discovery in the field of genetics, genomics, and stem cell research, but these discoveries are not being applied to breast cancer treatments. A job that Gen Cells Cures definitely wants to get our hands dirty in. Recently researchers have found that by blocking a gene called beta1-integrin the growth of tumor cells can be stopped. When this gene was removed the tumor cells quit growing. You don''t have to accept the genes that you were given at birth. Gen Cells Cures will be able to manipulate your genes to cure your breast cancer.

Our Cancer Stem Cell and Genomics Program will bring together the top scientific minds in the world under one tin roof to maximize the use of diverse approaches to the understanding of cancer genomics fused with stem cell solutions. Gen Cells Cures isn''t looking for a multi-million dollar biomedical research center like the Stowers Institute in Kansas City, which is a medical center to be admired. A rented tin shack will do just fine. Of course, we would accept hand-me down michroscopes from the Stoweres (billionaires who bought their own multi-million dollar biomedical research center) if they would be gracious enough to grant them to us or we would accept a small prime the pump check to move forward with our research. The Stowerses and all the scientists from the Stowers Institute have an open invitation to visit our lab in the Caribbean. What we are looking for is a cure for breast cancer to stop the humiliation, pain and suffering this menace to society causes millions of women and thousands of men worldwide, and not a new biomedical center? Every dollar invested with us goes into pure medical research and equipment. The same offer goes out to all the millionaires and especially the billionaires of the world. People that come to mind are: Paul Allen, Bill and Melinda Gates, Jon Huntsman, William and Alice Goodman, Ann Lurie, Jamie and Karen Moyer, Harold C. Simmons, Alfred Mann, Sumner M. Redstone, Michael Milton and the Palm beach billionaires, there are simply too many to mention. The combined wealth of the three Microsoft billionaires alone is more than ten times the amount spent by the U.S. Federal Government on research to fight cancer and other deadly diseases. We know we''re in the wrong business to become billionaires ourselves. This kind of biotechnology has never produced even one billionaire. It''s the cure for breast cancer that we want.

Simply put the cancer research organizations are funding the wrong researchers. It''s time to go outside the normal research channels. Do something different. The same story year after year after year and no cure. These unmotivated researchers just aren''t getting results. Let someone else have a shot at it. It''s time to try something new and different. A different approach. There are races for the cure, golf tournaments for the cure, there are walks for the cure, there are foundations for the cure. These foundations have been funding the same ineffective research for more than twenty years now. These foundations have been betting on the wrong horse. Joining the crusade won''t help if the research being done doesn''t take on a twenty-first century scientific approach. It''s been time to move forward scientifically for five years now. But today''s breast cancer researchers are stuck in a twentieth century mind-set. The Excuse is someday we''ll find the cure, but someday doesn''t help today''s victims of breast cancer. We need top notch scientific action today.

The genetics are out of the bottle and stem cell research is moving forward whether the U.S. government likes it or not. Gen Cells Cures has moved off-shore to the Caribbean to avoid the political controversy over stem cell research. I am sure you won''t mind a walk on the beach with me to talk about your cure for your breast cancer. Once we have the cure we can take the cure from the bench to the patient without a long and costly wait for FDA approval. There are many advantages to not having big brother breathing down your neck. The governments of the United States and Western countries have nothing to offer except road blocks, red tape and detours. Our patients don''t have time for political smoke and mirrors. With a little luck we could have your cure before the time comes that you need that dreaded surgery and chemo.

Our gifted world-class researchers are visionary and have been schooled in winning and have courage, creativity, can-do attitudes, burning desires, unfaltering belief and an obsession that they will be there first. By first we mean years ahead of the other biotechnology companies. Like determined, fighting NASCAR drivers our scientists are living to take the chequered flag of biotech and win the coveted race for the cure for breast cancer.

Focused on breakthrough discoveries, Gen Cells Cures nurtures a culture that encourages high standards of excellence, original thinking, hard work and a willingness to take risks. Our world-renowned scientists believe in themselves and its belief that gets us there. The company will seek to develop a work environment that is results focused and team-orientated. We compete against time. Though we compete intensely we maintain high ethical standards and trust and respect for each other. Quality is the cornerstone of all our activities. We seek the highest quality information, decisions and people. Our success depends on superior scientific innovation. We see the scientific method as a multi-step process which includes designing the right experiment, collecting and analyzing data and rational decision making. It is not subjective or emotional but rather a logical, open and rational process.

Our success comes from one simple fact; we are committed to being a science-based, patient-driven company, driven by that one special breast cancer patient?you.

Gen Cells Cures lost most of our one million dollar start-up money in offshore bank scandal and currency devaluation last year. We are now actively pursuing financial support. Unfortunately, the Gen Cells Cures team is made up of great scientific minds and not great marketers, salesmen, or fund raisers. Yes, we are looking for a millionaire or billionaire without a cause to support our work, but if you are not our wealthy saviour, we welcome any help, be it financial or a donation of your time. The scientific team is on stand-by. What we''re lacking is the funding to go forward. We could use motivated salesmen to sell our research, fund raisers, skilled internet marketers or someone just to pass out flyers or mail out promotional material. We could use help from the media with publicity stories, ads and promotions to get the word out. We are particularly interested in looking for assistance from the billionaires of the world; there are approximately 600 in the world. Billionaires like Sergey Brin and Larry Page (Google billionaires), Rupert Murdoch, Ted Turner, and Oprah Winfrey and others who control the media could get our life-saving message to the world fast. We are also hoping that some of my celebrities friends will come forward and spread their wings to help support our breast cancer research: Steven Seagal, Charlie Sheen, Wesley Snipes, Danny Glover, Erik Estrada, Tom Arnold, Dolph Lundgren, Roger Clinton, Bill Clinton, Usher, Hulk Hogan, Ivana Trump, John Secada, Sylvester Stalone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mike Reno, Richard Branson, Cindy Crawford, Cher, Demi Moore, Michelle Pfeiffer, and other stars that I have had the good fortune of meeting in person and others celebrities that I hope to meet in the future. (Photos of Gerald and the stars can be viewed at his promotional group listed below.) I am waiting to get my photo with Suzanne Summers!

Gen Cells Cure offers more than hope. We can do the job. If you''re going to eradicate cancer you have to have the right people doing the right research. One thing is for sure. We couldn''t do any worse than what the scientists before us have done. Which is virtually nothing! Help us alleviate the pain and suffering. Together, with your help, we can cure breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Awareness: A Guide To Pink

Since the late 1970s when Penny Laingen tied yellow ribbons around trees to bring awareness to her husband who was a hostage in the Iran Hostage Crisis of 1979-1980, ribbons have been used as powerful symbols of awareness and hope. In the 1990s AIDS activists used red ribbons representing people fighting AIDS and breast cancer activists handed out pink ribbons.

In the years since Laingan’s use of the yellow ribbon, it has become a symbol most associated with supporting the safe return of deployed American troops. In large part to celebrities’ support and display of the ribbons and media coverage, The New York Times declared 1992 “The Year of the Ribbon.”

Since the 1990s the use of the red ribbon for AIDS awareness and fight for the cure, as well as other colored ribbons for other causes, has skyrocketed. Now “awareness ribbons” as they are collectively known, are used in the U.S., Canada and Australia, to represent a statement of support for a cause or an issue. So many groups have adopted the symbolic representation that colors represent more than one cause or issue. Ribbons are most often worn on jacket lapels but larger ribbons are also tied around things like trees, car antennas and poles. There are also sticker and magnet versions of the ribbons.

In 1985 an organization called National Breast Cancer Month designated October as “Breast Cancer Awareness Month.” This designation now means each October store shelves are filled with pink products—everything from pink nail polish to pink tennis balls-- to promote awareness and raise research dollars.

Many women’s magazines like InStyle, Real Simple and Self run special breast cancer awareness articles and pages filled with pink ribbon product recommendations.

InStyle magazine features an article on actress and breast cancer activist Halle Berry and her participation in the 15th annual Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Revlon Run/Walk for Women in Los Angelous, which has raised more than $50 million to find a cure and treatment for the disease since 1993. More than 50,000 people, along with Berry showed up at the breast cancer awareness run.

InStyle magazine also featured two pages of pink ribbon products including cooking utensils for Cook for the Cure and beauty products.
For its October issue Real Simple magazine features a breast cancer awareness service piece the that answers magazine readers’ questions about breast cancer detection, treatment and prevention. The magazine also reports that death from the disease has decreased by approximately 24 percent in the last 16 years.

Self magazine, which boasts being the founder of the pink ribbon, publishes the Self Women’s Cancer Handbook every year. This year the features in the cancer handbook include “Quiz: Your risk demystified,” “My Mother, My Cancer Fears,” “Slash Your Cancer Risk in Minutes a Day,” “Cancer in a Can,” “Fighting Back with Fun and Fitness” and more. Self magazine also devotes three pages to “Pink Power,” a feature on new pink ribbon products available this year.

While pink ribbon product campaigns in stores provide significant amounts of money to breast cancer charities, consumers should be aware that just because a product is pink doesn’t mean that buying it helps fight breast cancer. The breast cancer advocacy group ThinkBeforeYouPink offers consumers helpful tips, including six critical questions to ask before purchasing.

Antiperspirants And Breast Cancer

Most underarm antiperspirants contain as the active ingredient, Aluminium Chlorohydrate, as you will probably remember there has been controversy about Aluminium, since the 1950''s when it was a popular metal used for making cooking pots, Saucepans and Fry Pans and that it could be one of the contributing factors to Alzheimer''s, now we have another problem that could also be related to Aluminium, Breast Cancer.

Research shows that one of the leading causes of Breast Cancer could be the use of antiperspirants. The human body has a number of areas, that it uses to purge Toxins from the body, these are, behind the knees, behind the ears, the groin area, and the armpits. The toxins are purged from the body in the form of perspiration and antiperspirant as the name clearly suggests prevents you from perspiring, thereby inhibiting the body from purging Toxins from the armpit area.

These Toxin do not just disappear, Instead, the body deposits them in the Lymph Nodes below the arms, since it is unable to sweat them out. A concentration of Toxins then builds up in the areas such as the armpits, which can then lead to cell mutations, which is cancer.

It cannot be ignored, that nearly all Breast Cancer Tumors occur in the upper outer quadrant of the breast area, this is where the Lymph Nodes are located. Men are less likely (but not totally exempt) to develop breast cancer prompted by the use of antiperspirants, because the antiperspirant is more likely to be caught in the armpit hair, rather than directly applied to the skin, but ladies, who shave their armpits, increase the risk by causing imperceptable nicks in the skin, which allow the chemicals to enter easily into the body through the armpits.

This article is aimed mainly at ladies, but please be aware that there are a few antiperspirants on the market that are made from natural products, but basically they would still trap the Toxins in the same areas. The best solution is to use deodorants, rather than antiperspirants, also please remember that the Eight Essential Sugars in Glyconutrients can also help to fight off Toxins.

There is a lot of controversy about this article, the medical profession scoff at the idea, and so do big business, but then again there are huge numbers of people that scoff at the problems associated with Fluoride in drinking water. You can make up your own mind on whether there is someting in this article or not, I know that if I was a lady, I would keep clear of Antiperspirants. I realise that Doctors everywhere, do a marvelous job, and they are appreciated, but they are reluctant to look at the bigger picture, also please remember that the fourth largest killer of people in the western world is prescription drugs.

First Indicators Of Breast Cancer Advancement

Over 90 percent of breast cancer cases are diagnosed during the earlier stages of the disease. Early spotting is beneficial for the patient as it typically means better treatment and a stronger prognosis.

However, this is only a portion of the whole clinical picture. Various characteristics, like lymph node engagement and receptor status, can help prognosticate outcome and aid in choosing a treatment selection, making them critical factors for survival.

Although breast cancer is on the rise in North America and the UK, the mortality rate is decreasing. This decline in mortality is credited to an increased number of women obtaining mammograms, improved evaluation techniques, and effective ancillary treatments.

Thus if the majority of diagnosed breast cancer cases are discovered during the preliminary stages, what effect does that have on patients and what are the best treatment courses?

An Overview of the Earlier Symptoms of this Disease

Earlier breast cancer stages are called TNM stages 1, 2 and 3a. This scoring system approximates how far the carcinoma has advanced. It's also based on whether any present tumors are operable.

Most instances of early-stage breast cancer are curable through surgery, radiation therapy or systemic therapy. The survival rate for patients diagnosed this early have a 5-year success rate of over 75%.

Normal Treatment Reactions

Treatment reaction generally hinges on lymph node engagement, the size and grade of any tumors, the age of the patient, hormone (estrogen and progesterone) receptors, and the status or condition of biologic markers like HER2/neu.

Lymph Nodes

Lymph nodes are an effective way to predict the effects of breast cancer. Essentially, the more positive lymph nodes that are present, the lower the patient's survival rate and the higher the chances of relapse.

Commonly, patients with earlier stage breast cancer are classified into either those presenting negative nodes, 1 to 3 positive lymph nodes, 4 to 9 positive nodes, or 10 and more nodes.

The Size of Tumor

If a patient exhibits negative lymph nodes and a tumor that is smaller than 1cm, the prognosis is often very good. Most doctors use tumor size as an effective and critical indicator during the early stages of this disease.

Tumor Grade

As the grade of the tumor increases, so does the potential relapse rate. However, due to the unreliability of tumor data, most pathologists do not rely on this information for their prognosis.

Hormone Receptors

The status of hormone receptors in the tumor is another indicator used by doctors when prognosing early stage breast cancer. Typically, patients who experience a receptor-positive cancer have a stronger survival rate than those who do not.

HER2/neu as an Indicator

HER2/neu is a tumor marker that is expressed in approximately a quarter of all breast cancer cases. If its numbers are high, this is usually associated with a more aggressive form of breast cancer.

Age of the Patient

Generally, patients who are older (50 and up) have a better prognosis than patients under the age of 35.

Power Tips To Breast Cancer Solutions

Breast cancer has a 10% chance of returning in women who have been successfully treated for the cancer. However, a high percentage of the women who do not have a relapsing breast cancer have be found to have a high level of carotenoid present in their blood. With this being said, it will be wise if you start eating vegetables with high carotenoid content during and after your cancer treatments.

Serious side effects can develop after the treatment of breast cancer causing a decrease in your libido. To help prevent this, it is advised that you should see your gynecologist during and after breast cancer treatment. This will ensure that you don't experience a draught period in your sex life.

The advice of your doctor in the treatment of breast cancer is priceless. Although the choice of treatment method will be placed in your hands, the special advice your doctor provides should be considered critically before picking a treatment method for breast cancer.

A bloody discharge from the nipples is not usually a common symptom of breast cancer. This therefore should not be a symptom to watch out for before going for clinical breast cancer examination. It is suggested that for women over 40 years, clinical examination should be done at least once in a year.

Cancer can hit you in any part of the body. Breast cancer is simply the type that strikes you in the chest. Some folks think that only women get this, but that is not true; men contract it also. What people should focus on is how to put an end to the disease, starting with detecting it in good time – before it spreads all over the body and causes much more damage

The time of breast cancer detection determines how effectively it can be treated. It is advised that a monthly thorough examination of the breast and the best region will help you detect breast cancer timely if present. Also undergoing clinical examination once every three years after the age of 20 is advised.

Ignorance is more deadly than the most advanced stage of breast cancer. You should not fold you arms and ignore information pertaining to breast cancer. As a woman who knows the current statistic shows that one out of every eleven women is going to be diagnosed with breast cancer, you should be all out to get information to help keep you on the favored side of the statistic.

Statistic shows that breast cancer reoccurrence is about 10% in treated patient. This deadly disease should not be allowed to reoccur. After a successful treatment of breast cancer, you should maintain a regular monthly appointment with your doctor to prevent the disease reoccurring.

Breast Cancer Statistics

How Breast Cancer Survival Rates Increased 50%', 'Breast cancer statistics show that over 1.2 million persons will be diagnosed with breast cancer worldwide this year, according to the World Health Organization. For breast cancer and prevention, it has long been known that regular physical activity has been shown to decrease the likelihood of having breast cancer. What has not been known or studied has been the effect of regular physical activity on the breast cancer survival rates or likelihood of death in women that already have breast cancer. That is, until now.

The breast cancer statistics and findings as reported by the American Medical Association''s Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) in May 2005 were astounding! Certain participants in the study of women with Stage I, II or III breast cancer achieved a 50% reduction in the death rate from breast cancer.

Here are these breast cancer statistics: the journal reported that in the study 2,987 female registered nurses had been diagnosed with breast cancer during the years 1984-1998. What the study found was that the women who had physical activity equivalent to walking at a steady pace of 2.0-2.9 miles per hour for 3-5 hours a week had a death rate of only 50% of the death rate of women who had physical activity equivalent to walking less than one hour a week. The conclusion of the breast cancer statistics in the study was that physical activity after breast cancer has been diagnosed may reduce the risk of death from breast cancer. The study found that there was little evidence of any relation between increased physical activity and increased benefit.

It''s time to dust off those walking shoes!

As a physical activity, walking can be done almost anytime by anyone anywhere. All that''s needed is a good pair of walking shoes. Walking is fun and reduces stress. As for injuries, walking has the lowest injury rate of all the various kinds of exercise.

You can walk with a partner, friend, family member or dog, maybe even a neighbor''s dog. Or you can walk with your favorite headset and music. If you are walking outdoors with a headset, keep one ear open to hear the sounds around you.

As for basic walking tips:

· As you begin regular walking, take it easy. Standard advice is to check with your physician before starting any exercise program. If it''s been years or decades since you walked regularly, perhaps you can begin with 5 minutes of walking and slowly increase your time and distance.

· Walking at a pace of 75?95 steps a minute will have you walking at a speed of about 2-3 miles per hour.

· Walk with your head up, looking out in front of you. Do not walk looking down right in front of you except to navigate any obstacles.

· Really take it easy the first 5 minutes of walking to warm up. Afterwards, gently stretch for 5?10 minutes while your muscles are warm.

· Practice good walking form. Your arms should swing naturally in the direction you''re walking, not from side to side across your body. Your foot should strike the ground on your heel, then a rolling motion forward toward the ball of your foot, then pushing off with your toes.

And here are some basic walking shoes tips:

· Buy your walking shoes from a sporting shoes store with large selections. That will give you plenty of choices. And buy your walking shoes later in the day when your feet will be larger.

· Buy cushioned, supportive walking shoes. To see if a shoe is supportive, do this test -- take a shoe and turn it upside down. Holding each end of the shoe, try to fold it. If you find the shoe bends in the middle, then that shoe is not a supportive shoe. A supportive shoe should bend where your foot normally bends, near your toes.

· You should allow the width of your index finger between the end of your shoe and the end of your longest toe, or about one-half inch.

· Buy two pairs of walking shoes, one for home and one for the car or workplace. And if one pair gets wet, you can use the other pair that day.

Walking is the closest thing to the perfect exercise. In today''s fast-paced society, regular walking can be a welcomed break from the stress of the day. Maybe you''ll get to know your neighborhood or neighbors better. There may be walking trails you''ve never seen but wanted to.

Wherever and however you choose to walk, not only can the experience be fun, you''ll know you''re being good to your body in a variety of ways. Besides the incredible breast cancer statistics and findings of the breast cancer study, walking helps with weight control and bone strength, elevates mood, helps build and maintain healthy muscles, joints and heart. With so many great health benefits, why not get started walking today!

Breast Cancer Donations

It seems like almost every day we hear about a new breakthrough pill for breast cancer. All these drugs cannot just be put on the market – they have to undergo rigorous tests and all this requires funding. There is also the cost of funding all the research into the drugs – and then the development and testing. This is where the Breast Cancer Charities and donations to those charities come in.

The Breast Cancer Charities fund the research and development of breast cancer treatments and drugs and also produce important information about breast cancer – how to examine yourself, signs to look for and also how to deal with a breast cancer diagnosis and what you can expect from treatment. They are also undertaking research into diet and its effects on breast cancer and are currently researching why breast cancer is more prevalent in the developed countries.

The Breast Cancer Charities run many fund-raising events, locally and nationally. The Race for Life is a well publicised example. The pink-ribbon campaign run by Cancer Research UK and the Pink Ribbon Foundation website is full of useful information about breast cancer and the treatment of it. With new treatments being developed all the time, these Charities are always in need of new funds and fundraisers. So support them in whatever way you can, whether it’s by donation of money or clothes, by buying Christmas cards, supporting the Charity Shops or by taking part in their fundraising events.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, financial and emotional support for those diagnosed with any form of cancer. We are all familiar with the Macmillan nurses, who help people at all stages of their cancer diagnosis and they also support and advise the families of those people who are diagnosed with cancer. They are also working to improve cancer care and fight discrimination against people with cancer.

According to Cancer Research UK, one in nine women will develop breast cancer at some point in their life. So it is very important that we know exactly how to examine ourselves and the signs to look out for. I’m sure we all know of someone who has suffered or is suffering from breast cancer.

It wasn’t so very long ago that discussion of any kind of cancer was in hushed tones: it was often referred to as just “C” or “the big C” and it was regarded as a death sentence. However now there are so many more treatments and many more people are surviving for longer or being given the “all clear” after cancer treatment. But money is needed for research, drug testing and campaigning and that’s where you and I and the Charities step in.

Breast Cancer: How To Prevent Breast Cancer With Early Detection.

If you are a woman, there is one kind of cancer that you always have to be on the look out for, and that is breast cancer. No matter what age you are, you can still get breast cancer. Although it is more common in women that are 40 years of age or older, you should start doing breast exams as soon as you can. This is because you can actually help to prevent breast cancer with early detection. If you are not able to prevent it, you are going to be able to have a better chance of getting rid of it the sooner that you do find it.

They recommended doing breast cancer exams every 3 years. This is after you reach your late 20's and 30's. However, keep in mind that breast cancer is something that you are able to detect yourself. It is always good to keep a close watch on your breasts. Every few days, you should feel them while you are in the shower to check for lumps. These lumps could be signs of breast cancer. The lumps will usually be hard and noticeable.

When it comes to doing breast self-examination, there are a few times of the month that are the best time to check for breast cancer. This is a good way to do early breast screening detection to help you prevent getting it. Although some people still think that you should check for breast cancer every few days, you are really only suppose to check it about once a month. However, do keep in mind that doing it more than once a month is not bad.

The best time a month to check for breast cancer is the day after your period. This is the best time to perform a self-examination, because your breasts are likely to be less tender and sore. If you are a person that has irregular periods, then you can check your beast any time of the month. You will still get the same effect. Just remember, try to do a self-examination when your breasts are not sore. This way you can do a much better job examining without worrying about your breasts being too sore to touch.

If you do not think that self-examinations are the best way to go, for early detection of breast cancer you can always go in and have mammograms. This is a breast X-ray that is able to see the smallest breast tumors. Now the question is, when and how often should you go in for a mammogram? The truth is, it is really going to depend on your age. Not only that, but it is going to have a lot to do with your family history as well. If breast cancer is something that runs in your family, then you are going to want to do mammograms more often than other people. Breast cancer is something that kind of runs in families. Although it is unknown why it does this, it does not change the fact that it does run in family trees.

As you can see, there are a few things that you can do to help you with early detection of breast cancer. Early detection is, of course, the best shot you have at getting rid of breast cancer before it starts and spreads to the rest of your body. Also, breast cancer is not that common in men, but it can happen, thus, men should check themselves as well from time to time with a self-examination. However, they should do this far less often than women.
